As the title suggests, these are all algae eating shrimp. They will eat almost all forms of algae and they may also tuck into fine plants as well. They are most at home in a planted aquarium and need greenery in their food. Also they all appreciate moderately low light levels. Their aquarium should be furnished with a lot of plants for cover and floating plants will defuse the light. Their tank mates should be peaceful towards them as in the wild they are generally regarded as food. They should be fed a varied diet, including algae wafers and shrimp pellets, supplemented with vegetables (organically grown) and commercially available frozen foods, like artemia and daphnia.
These shrimp reproduce using the Specialised method of Breeding.
